   .: Frequently Asked Questions

Who is eligible to take this program?

Retirees and senior citizens of any kind no matter their age or amount of work or educational experience, particularly those who love to learn, and are dedicated and motivated. Additionally, aspiring lawyers will find this to be both a great way to introduce themselves to the law school process and to earn a lead on their future competition.

Do participants need any prior legal education or computer experience?

Absolutely Not. Everything needed is provided from the start.

Is there an application process, or do I just sign-up?

Simply sign-up.

How many years should this course be taken?

Once is enough for most people; however, you may take the course as many times as you deem necessary to achieve your goals (participants will answer questions based on their year-level in the program). The more times the course is taken, the deeper the knowledge of the subjects and cases covered will be.

Is there any difference between Winter, Spring, and Fall programs?

No, they are identical. Sign up for the one that works best for you!

Is this program a substitute for law school?

There is no substitute for law school given the rigor and length of Juris Doctor programs; however, this program is as close as it gets. This program gives those who are interested in going to law school down the road a great primer and gives everyone else everything they would ever need to know. Most people can understand the basics of what law school teaches if the format, content, and delivery is geared toward their needs. PLEASE NOTE THAT THIS IS NOT A COLLEGE OR A LAW SCHOOL AND THOSE WHO COMPLETE THIS PROGRAM WILL NOT BE ATTORNEYS OR ELIGIBLE TO SIT FOR ANY BAR EXAMINATION, AND WILL NOT BE QUALIFIED FOR LAW SCHOOL ABSENT A COLLEGE EDUCATION AND AN LSAT SCORE.

Is any of the material in this program objectionable or will participants be led to certain conclusions?

Many law school cases deal with adult content; however, we keep non-essential facts and cases with this material to an absolute minimum. Additionally, participants are provided with facts based on actual cases and both sides' arguments. Most people develop beliefs and opinions based on this information, but there is never any effort whatsoever to make anyone come to any particular conclusion. We will challenge their answers no matter what they say, just as is usually done in law school, to make them understand that the analysis, not the answer, is what counts. Our only goal is to teach the law school language and process of looking at facts, thoughtfully considering the arguments of each side, and coming to a conclusion. Finally, we are not some academic eggheads peddling worthless information. We greatly respect your time and your investment.
