.: How This Helps Retirees
Harvard offers a 6-week MBA program for business executives at a cost of $60,000, believing that the most important information from their graduate business program can be taught sufficiently enough in 6 weeks that those who complete the program are considered Harvard Alumni. If carefully crafted, this philosophy can produce a great program (such as Harvard's). However, we recognize that Harvard's cost is excessive, their on-campus attendance requirement is burdensome, and entertainment is not their goal. Thus, we eliminated these barriers when applying this idea to law school, a far more complex but universally relevant education; an education so important that it is no coincidence that many leaders from many career fields learn the law school process of analyzing both sides' arguments from many different areas of law in order to forever possess skills that others lack.
We teach the fundamentals of not just law school information, but also the process that provides the tools to be your best to achieve whatever your goals are. What you quickly find out is that the information is merely a benefit of the process. That is where the old saying "the true value of law school is that it teaches how to think" comes from. That skill of learning to think and speak like a lawyer is the key to bridging the gap between aspirations and success. Remember, understanding what a lawyer said is very different than understanding why they said it. It is this process that provides the tools to make the best decision in any situation and in any career path, including those that significantly affect your life, because it teaches thoroughness, reasoning, and careful consideration. Everyone should learn what so many of these leaders who the make decisions and rules that affect all our lives learn and have learned for many centuries.
William Shakespeare even famously wrote in his play Henry VI, "the first thing we do is kill all the lawyers," meaning that since lawyers control everything, nothing can change until they are dead! Everyone should know their rights, the law, and the fundamentals of our society. But the reality is that very few people know this stuff. This is despite the fact that life, just like a game, is hard to win if you do not know the rules, especially in a nation of millions of federal, state, and local laws with many thousands added each year. There may be no way of knowing them all, but if you know the process, principles, and language of the law (legalese) your level of functionality in society will soar. Conversely, if you do not speak the language of leaders, you will be a foreigner among them and you are boarding a boat without a life jacket.
It is not surprising that the few that graduate law school make many of the rules that we all must live under and so often go unchecked! Well, the many thousands who want to better their community and the world by holding their leaders accountable, want to be their best or the best, want a shining resume addition, and/or want to be future lawyers are now served. No longer can the ruling class and law schools keep this for themselves. We have cracked their code and now bring this information back to the community for everyone's benefit because we believe that law school learning should not just be available to the few. While complicated, their secret is not magic and any committed person can learn this. So we ask, if leaders are taught this, why not you? Average citizens learn many things in school, but most (e.g. chemistry or a foreign language) are only occasional tools, and citizens are completely deprived of the most useful tool in life: a legal education.
Even if you were fortunate enough to receive a well-rounded education that included great schools, learning camps, educational tutors, athletics, and music, in 2011 a legal education is imperative and dramatically changes the face of your education. This is especially true in the information age where opportunities are presented everywhere! Here you learn about things that affect your life, from credit card loopholes that allow "legal fraud" with interest rates, monthly fees, and supposedly unbreakable contracts to product scams, from your rights in your home, car, and work to your duty to answer law enforcement, from employment contracts to protecting yourself in general, and most anything else that you can think of. You will find this immensely beneficial no matter what your interests are. And for those who have long-recognized the value of law school but lacked the time, money, or credentials, now is the time to get the confidence that you deserve.
Just imagine showing off these skills in front of your family, friends, or employer! What will you do with your law school highlights education? Upon completion of the program, your name will permanently go on our alumni page and anything that you tell us that you did with this education will be included! Society puts a premium on taking care of our health and families, and rightfully so; now lets take care of our personal and country's futures.
